It has a perfect balance of sweet and musky it lasts all day without neeeding to reapply
It's such a rich scent, it's my new go to

Absolutely stunning perfume. I had a sample, smells beautiful and unique, very good quality. I thought I'm going to treat myself to some. Imagine my surprise when my son bought me some for Christmas. He smelt several perfumes, whilst choosing and said this smelt the best!

If you love palma violets, or the little bottles of violet perfume you had as a child, you will love this. It's the sophisticated big sister. It lasts a long time but also mellows to a beautiful creamy violet/rasberry. It's my new favourite.

Received a sample on Facebook and I love it. The initial burst of raspberry and violet leaf is both refreshing and elegant, while the cocoa butter base adds a warm, comforting layer that lingers beautifully. Scent itself lasts all day on your skin and clothes as well with only a few spritz needed which makes this a great value.

My new favourite! This is so beautiful with layer after layer of fragrance. Starts fruity, then you get a lovely scent of violet- not as sweet as parma violet but deeper. On my skin it settles into a soft, buttery, woody scent but floral at the same time. Gorgeous!

Received a free sample - Smells amazing such a clean feminine scent for every day wear. At 1st it reminded me of a scent I had as a child, Parma Violet but then I get a light sweet raspberry scent with hints of cocoa butter/ vanilla that linger all day. Straight away my Husband asked what perfume I had on and even my teenage Sons said I smelt nice. Had to reapply later on in the day but that was the only negative.

I love all versions of La Vie Est Belle but Lancome outdid themselves with LVEB Elixir. The trio of fresh raspeberry, cocoa butter and violet is a perfect combination and gives this perfume a wonderful scent (a slight leather scent is also noticeable). I really like this floral-fruity balance that pleases my olfactory sense. Not too sweet, not overpowering, ideal for any occasion and 2 sprays is enough to scent last long on the skin and clothes. I bought this last month, not fans with the original, but this one is different. I got a lot of compliments from other people and co-workers, they said my smell was very divine.

This has got to be one of the most bold yet feminine fragrances that I've ever purchased. I usually go for the classic spicy oriental fragrances (ie; Shalimar by Guerlain) but was swayed by a review on YouTube to try L'Elixir. For me this scent is an all encompassing feminine, fresh, lively and nostalgic scent that has top notes of palmer violets and raspberry. Be warned, this is not for “wall flowers” - you will get compliments from both men and women alike.

I'm in love with Lancôme fragrance. La Vie Est Belle is my favourite. A sophisticated but fresh scent. Now we have L'Elixir, superb and a great edition to the range of La Vie Est Belle

I tried this whilst on holiday for two weeks but unfortunately no one had it in stock. Would have loved to get a sample but again no stock.
When I first sprayed it in the store I got the overwhelming scent of violets taking me back to my school days of eating palma violet sweets but as the day wore on the perfume changed notes. Fruity notes which reminded me of lovely fresh cherries and raspberries, cocoa butter and hot chocolate. Each time I smelt it I was given a totally different experience.
As I say I was on holiday and unable to purchase but for the remaining week and a half I found myself having a cheeky smell of my jacket and the smell was still amazing. Pitty I had to wash it on my return home.
This will definitely be my go to from now on. It brought such happy memories that had been long forgotten. The way the notes change as the day goes on blows my mind. Always loved Lancôme perfumes for their staying power but this is absolutely stunning and I look forward to treating myself to it for my birthday which we were celebrating whilst away.

Sprayed this on myself in DJs tonight and it is truly delicious. I walked into another store and was asked by both customers and sales people what perfume I was wearing. Love it
